Elaine was born on July 25, 1914 to Frank and Rose (Wetzstein) Glaser in Odense, ND. She married Christ Geiger on July 26, 1932 in Bismarck, ND. After their marriage Christ and Elaine farmed south of Solen where Elaine helped Christ with the farm work and took special joy in raising chickens and gardening. They raised 8 children that kept her busy with sewing, crocheting, baking and canning. Her specialties being bread, holiday fruitcake and pickles. Every jar in her pantry sparkled! She also loved preparing German dishes and made her own wine and beer. In 1951 they moved to Mandan where Elaine worked as a housekeeper at a local motel, did private babysitting and was a side cook at Jerry's Supper Club. Elaine was modest, proud and meticulous in everything she did paying special attention to her appearance, a comb and mirror always at her bedside. She liked casual reading, puzzles, board games, cards, and watching programs like Lawrence Welk. Elaine loved Country music and loved to sing and dance. She was a spunky little lady who well into her 70's thought nothing of riding in the pickup box with her grandchildren on the way to a favorite fishing hole. So many special memories will be cherished by all who knew her.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Christ in 1986, daughter, Delores (Dennis) Holmes; sisters, Lizzy (John)Stoltz, Rose (Bill) Stoller, and an infant sister; brothers, (Twin) Tony (Rose), Mike, Adam, John, Frank (Loretta) and Lawrence; brothers-in-law, Peter Froehlich and Rueben Stoller; great-grandson, Allen Olheiser.
