Birth: Feb. 20, 1920 North Dakota, USA Death: Nov. 19, 2009 Mass of Christian Burial for Stella Marthaller, age 89 of Mott, will be held at 10:30 am Monday, November 23, 2009 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Mott. Fr Charles Zins and Deacon Ervin Schneider will officiate with burial in Sunnyslope Cemetery. A Rosary Service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm, followed by a visitation until 7:00 pm, all at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott. Serving as casketbearers are Don Treitline, Don Erdman, Doug Friez, Kelly Marthaller, David Salo, Steve Rudser, Christopher Friez, and Jay Moran. All relatives and friends are considered honorary bearers. Stella (Constancia Senn) Marthaller was born to Nicodemus and Constancia (Boesflug) Senn on February 20, 1920, Willa, ND. Stella attended a one room country school and was born and raised on a farm north of Mott. She married Christ Marthaller on October 21, 1941 at St. Placidus Church, Mott, ND. Stella worked as a housekeeper for many years. She raised six children and was a loving grandma, great grandma and great, great grandma. She enjoyed playing cards and doing search-a-word puzzles. She is survived by her six children: Evelyn (Don) Treitline, St. Hilaire, MN., Janice (Don) Erdman, Hamilton, ND, Judy Laing, El Dorado Hills, CA, Vicky (Doug) Friez, Bismarck, ND, Deb Marthaller, Mott, ND, Kelly (Lisa) Marthaller, Bismarck, ND and her furry companion Quita. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Christ and eight brothers and sisters.
