Vernon M. "Jinx" Dimmerling (July 15, 1919 - February 16, 2008)
Vernon M. “Jinx” Dimmerling, 88, of 44800 Carlisle Road, Caldwell, Ohio (Carlisle Community) died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at his home.
He was born near Carlisle, Ohio on July 15, 1919 a son of the late Clarence and Ida Archer Dimmerling. Vernon was a retired truck driver and a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church, Carlisle, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Archer.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Hill Dimmerling whom he married on July 21, 1945; two daughters: Carolyn (Bill) Estadt of Caldwell, Ohio and Linn (Joe) Grywalski of Summerfield, Ohio; one son: Ronald (Patty) Dimmerling of Sarahsville, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Jessica (Scott) Kittrell, Chris (Tara) Estadt, Joseph (Mallory Muffet) Dimmerling, Cathi (Scott) Trenner, Steve Dimmerling, Mark (Dawn) Reed and Anthony (Wendy) Reed; 15 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio from 2-8 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2008 with a vigil service at 3:30 p.m.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Carlisle, Ohio with Rev. Father Thomas Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Carlisle, Ohio.
