  [S927] Obituary. lizabeth Schmitt Reserve Elizabeth "Meryl" (Elmeier) Schmitt, 97, of Reserve, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011, with her loving family and wonderful staff at Vincentian-Regency by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip J. Schmitt; daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Nist) Elmeier; loving mother of Betty Lou (the late Robert) Burke, Phyllis (Robert) Gramc, Philip (Laraine) Schmitt, Elaine (Joseph) Miller and Sheri (the late Robert) Lepore; also survived by 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; and dear sister of Eleda Snyder. She was preceded in death by two grandsons; three sisters; and five brothers. She was a member of the Christian Mothers. Family will receive friends from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday only, at the HUGHES FUNERAL HOME INC., 1501 Lowrie St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Most Holy Name Church, Troy Hill, with the Rev. Lawrence R. Smith officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ross.
