Margaret "Margie" M. Fassett, 61, of South Bend, IN passed away at 8:05 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at Kindred Hospital, Mishawaka, IN. She was born on January 15, 1952 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Adolph and Margaret (Tomsits) Zircher.
On October 16, 1971 she married Wayne Fassett.
Mrs. Fassett is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Wayne Fassett; daughter, Katherine Fassett of South Bend, IN; sister, Rose Ann Zircher of South Bend, IN and two brothers, Michael (Charlotte) Zircher of South Bend, IN and John Zircher of South Bend, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Zircher.
Mrs. Fassett was a lifelong resident. She worked in sales as a Avon Representative for thirty-six years. She love music and most importantly her family. She was a master seamstress, loved to crochet, knit, needlepoint and embroidery. She enjoyed baking wedding cakes. Mrs. Fassett was a 4-H leader for the St. Joseph County 4-H. She was a wonderful wife, mom, sister and friend. She thought of others before herself.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S. Mill Street, Mishawaka, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN where a rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m.
