"Buster" Forney, 75, of Petaluma, Calif., formerly of Holly Springs and Hartington, Neb., died Thursday, July 23, 1998. Arangements were under the direction of Neptune Society of Northern California. Mr. Forney was born Feb. 28, 1923, near Holly Springs, the son of Orval Dean and Annabelle (Clift) Forney. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946. His awards and decorations include the Army Occupational Medal, 1944 (Germany) and the World War II Victory Ribbon, 1945. He was employed as an independent insurance broker, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Petaluma Lions Club and a past president of Leisure Lake Mobile Honie Park Social Club. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra of Denver, Colo., and Marcene of the Medford, Ore. area; a son, Richard of the Medford area; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mary Alice Hansen of Petaluma; and two brothers, David of Denver and Don of Hornick, Iowa.
