Lila Barron, 93, of Milan,died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at Saline Evangelical Home.
She was born April 9, 1912, in Carleton to Darwin E. and Margaret (Weatherholt) Johnson. She married Clayton Barron, on Feb. 21, 1933, in Newport.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Milan.
She is survived by three sons, Bernard Barron of Lake, Gerald (Yvonne) Barron of Willow Springs, Mo., and Joseph (Connie)TBarron of Cherokee, Calif.; nine daughters, Patricia (Gerald) Bowerman of Milan, Ethel Shields of Yuba City, Calif., Arlene (Jim) Hufnagle of Fremont, Ind., Beatrice (Bob) Cook of Pleasant Lake, Ind., Irene (Dan) Cockrell of Montgomery, Nelda Bomia of Baltimore, Md., and Edna Barron of Hillsdale; 51 grandchildren; 98 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Darwin Johnson of Coopersville; and five sisters, Viola Baumister of Monroe, Lorretta Baczor of Dearborn Heights, Ethel Jackson of Carlteon, Verna Vanstone of Carleton and Dorothy Johnson of Carleton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Barron, on Aug. 20, 1996; daughter, Thelma Sisson; two brothers, Raymond and Alfred; and three grandchildren, Angela,Rodney and Ronald.
Funeral Mass was Monday (June 20) at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Bob Pienta officiated. Burial was in Circle Hill Cemetery in Angola, Ind.
