Funeral Services for Katherine Kary, 91, of Dickinson are 10:00 a. m. on Friday, February 20, 2004 at St. Benedict?s Health Center with Father Jerry Kautzman, celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel with a rosary at 7:00 p. m. Katherine passed away on Monday, February 16, 2004 at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson. Katherine, the daughter of John and Bridget (Roether) Wock was born August 12, 1912 in Dickinson, North Dakota. She grew up and attended school in Dickinson. On October 3, 1933, Katherine married Joseph Kary in Dickinson, North Dakota. They moved to California for a short time and then returned to Dickinson where they have lived since. Her time was spent caring for her children and keeping her home. She loved to embroider and bake and share her camel rolls. Katherine also enjoyed going out for coffee. Her greatest love was always her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and very faithful in bring her family there. The love of her life was ?Joey,? who she loved to care for. Katherine is survived by her husband, Joe, 2 sons: Donald (Joan) Kary of Los Angeles, CA and Dennis Kary of Houston, TX, 2 daughters: Sylvia (Shannon) Medley of Crosby, TX and Jeanette (Larry) Tostenson of Albuquerque, NM, four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her brothers and sisters.
