David Paul Hoff

Obituary
David Hoff was born in Dickinson, North Dakota on Oct. 19, 1949, the fifth of eight children. He attended St. Mary's grade school and graduated in 1967 from Assumption Abbey. He attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana; North Dakota State University; and earned his degree from George Fox University. He was president of Robert Gray Partners, Inc., where he served as vice president for eight years. A journeyman carpenter since 1974, he worked for various construction companies in Oregon and Montana as a carpenter, job superintendent, and project manager.
He was a member of St. Cecilia Parish since 1975, where he served on the Education Commission, Confirmation Team, Finance Council, Administrative Council, and Building Assessment. He was a Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, and was a past membership director for the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce. He was a Royal Rosarian involved with many community events.
David is survived by his wife Patty of 48 years; daughters Laura (Scot) Stewart of Azle, Texas, Deborah (Korey) Kier of Vancouver, Wash., and Lisa (John) Garbett of Eugene, Ore.; five grandchildren, Winter (Jonny), Montana, Kaleb, Dylan and Nicholas, and great-granddaughter Zaylyn; six sisters, Paulette (Clarence) Farber of Dickinson, N.D., Toni (Dave) Skinner of Santa Ana, Calif., Mary (Bob) Young of Danbury, Conn., Grace (Magnus) Meier of Hettinger, N.D., Stephanie (Brian) Mularkey of Rochester, Minn., and Lori (Joel) Newgard of Mandan, N.D.; and one brother Patrick Hoff of Stockbridge, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, June 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Beaverton, Ore. Recitation of the rosary will be at 10:30 a.m. preceding the funeral. Burial is at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
