Bernardine F. Falcon of Des Moines, Wash. passed away on July 18, 2012.
Bernie was born Bernardine Francis Helbling, April 9, 1932 in Mandan. She is survived by one brother, James Helbling, Eugene, Ore.; her loving children, Terry Dickerson, Bill Dickerson , Ann Dickerson, Joe Dickerson and wife Tammi and Vern Dickerson and wife Pauline. Grandchildren, Taylor, Megan, Jacob, Olivia and Lucas; step-children, Gordon, Phil, Rocky, Pat, Randy, Ricky Falcon and Gina Jaschke and numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Bernie spent much of her early career as a key-punch operator, bookkeeper and office worker but always enjoyed cooking for any occasion. One of her greatest joys was owning and operating Aunty Witchy’s Cafe in Trenton. where she resided for many years. She loved the Seattle Mariners, Nascar, Basketball, Football, and being a part-time score keeper for The Kent Parks and Recreation. She had a love for Music, playing the organ and listening to big band, country and fiddle Music.
Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Magdalene, four sisters (Helen, Kay, Lucille and Josephine) first husband, Vern K. Dickerson, second husband, George P. Falcon and one step-son, Gary Falcon. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends!
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012, at St John The Baptist Church in Trenton.
