Frank De Caro

Frank De Caro of Mariposa died in Riverbank.
Mr. De Caro was a native of Los Angeles and had lived in Mariposa since 1958. He owned the Old Coach Restaurant and Yosemite Market in Mariposa.
He was a member of New Life Church and attended Evangelical Reformed Church of Ceres.
He was the past Post Commander of the VFW and past President of San Gabriel Racing Pigeon Club.
He was a member of Fresno Scottish Rite, Tehran Shrine of Fresno, the Mariposa Lodge of Masons and was a former member of the Lions Club.
He enjoyed racing pigeons, fishing, panning for gold, gardening, reading, watching track, football and women's basketball and Mariposa High School sports.
He served in the 420th Air Service Squad in the Air Force.
He is survived by his children, Jane Gibson of Riverbank, Ron Bivens of Atascadero and Marianne McNally and Ginny Carpenter, both of Mariposa; brothers, Phil De Caro of Hesperia and Nat De Caro of Atwater; sisters, Marge Bothwell of Hesperia and June Eppley of La Crescenta; and many grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Berniece De Caro; second wife, Marilyn De Caro; and son Dennis Bivens.
Visitation from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at Mariposa Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Christian Fellowship.
Burial at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mariposa Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto 95356; or the American Cancer Society for Relay For Life, P.O. Box 963, Mariposa 95338.
