WILMA (SHERRY) JANE WEBER GREEN
Wilma Jane Weber Green passed away July 7, 2007 at the beach. She was born to Vincent Homer Weber and Margaret Louise Davids (Weber & Colyar) in Vancouver, WA on November 2, 1936. Wilma lived in Ridgefield, WA and Long Beach, WA until moving away to attend the University of Washington at Seattle where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Science in 1959. She went on to earn a Masters Degree in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, at Edmonton, Canada in 1968. She worked as a Research engineer (1959-1961 Convair, Pomona, California); tutor, and teaching assistant (1962-1968 University of Alberta, Edmonton Canada); mathematics instructor (1971-1972 Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, California); business owner distributor (1972-1974 Viviane Woodard, Costa Mesa, California); manager of software quality assurance (1973-1992 TRW, Redondo Beach, California); and chief creative officer (1992- 2007 Roseamonde Press, Wawona, California). She was proud to author Marathon Mom 2006; Member Screen Actors Guild; Daughters of American Revolution; American Association of University Women; Association of Computing Machinery; Republican; Methodist; Pilot. Wilma married Richard L. McKinney (divorced) in 1956 and had three children who survive her: Elizabeth McKinney Charbonneau, Michael McKinney and Sheila Perletti. She has ten grandchildren who she was very proud and fond of. She married and is survived by Ira Green in 1978. Wilma is survived by her sister, Irene Simmons; her brothers, David, Gary, and Vince Weber. Her brother, Halsey Weber, passed away as an infant. Wilma loved to act, sing, dance, ice skate, travel, and to spend time with her distant and extended family. She loved to learn about new things and dared to try almost anything. She will be sadly missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Services will be held at the Ridgefield Community United Methodist Church on Sat., July 14, 2007. Burial will follow in Ridgefield Cemetery.
