Pauline Meidinger WISHEK - Pauline Meidinger, 96, Wishek, died July 9, 2006, at Wishek Home for the Aged. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at United Church of Christ, Wishek. Burial will be in New Kassel Reformed Cemetery, rural Zeeland. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a family service at 8 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek. Pauline Eckman, daughter of Fredrick and Christina (Weisser) Eckman, was born Sept. 20, 1909, on the family farm, rural Wishek. She received her elementary education in a rural school in Friedensthal District, graduating from the eighth grade. Pauline was united in marriage to Leopold Meidinger on Nov. 18, 1930, at St. Andrews Lutheran parsonage. Following their marriage, they farmed and ranched at rural Zeeland. In 1966, after 36 years of farming, Pauline and Leopold retired and moved into Wishek. In 1993, they moved into the Wishek Nursing Home Apartments. Pauline entered the Wishek Home for the Aged in September 2003. Pauline was a member of the New Kassel Reformed Church until 1970, and now was a member of the United Church of Christ Church in Wishek. Pauline enjoyed cooking for her family, playing cards, watching Twins Baseball, quilting and crocheting. She is survived by her children; Violet Kaseman, Wishek, Ruth Thurn, Corona, Victor (Janice) Meidinger, Wishek, Verna (Gary) Lockwood, Ontario, Calif., Jim (Sharon) Meidinger, Wishek, Mary Lou (Del) Cornella, Hawthorne, Nev., Linda (Larry) Wald, Wishek, Walter (Marge) Meidinger, Ruby (Ron) Hartman, and Donald (Sally) Meidinger, all of Fargo, Grace (Bill) Sufka, Minneapolis, and Gary (Julie) Meidinger, Wamego, Kan.; 25 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leopold; her parents; three sisters; three brothers; two infant sons, Elmer and Kenneth; two sons-in-law, Elmer Kaseman and Herman Thurn; one granddaughter, Kathy Dunlap; and one great-grandson, Tyler Meidinger.
