Harold G. Garnier died Friday, March 15 surrounded by his family as a result of injuries sustained in an accident.
Harold was born January 5, 1938 to Charles and Magdaline (Koch) Garnier in Bismarck, ND. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in Bismarck, graduating from St. Mary?s High School. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Elter) on November 22, 1958 and had five beautiful children.
He worked for Champion Spark Plug Company as a Regional Sales Manager from 1958 until his retirement. Harold was passionate about his gardens and flowers and they were the envy of his neighborhood. His acts of kindness, generosity, and service for family, neighbors and friends was limitless.
He was a living example of his faith. His priorities were always his Lord and family as exemplified by his caring for his wife in their home until her death from Alzheimers. His final gift was the gift of organ and tissue donation through LifeSource to continue helping others in need.
Harold is survived by his children Lynda (Bill) Lee, Laura (Mark) Hoff, Renee (Brad) Hertel, Charles (Elida) Garnier, and Catherine (Mark) Lundberg , thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Bernie Clark, Devra (Fred) Clausen, Judy (Lyle) Gallagher, Nadine Garnier, Barb (Bob) Hughes, and Carol Schaff. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth, his parents Charles and Magdeline, and his sister Janice Ehrmantraut.
