Private family services will be held. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 1-8 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Edgar was born Oct. 19th, 1938 on the family farm in McIntosh County to Albert C. Meidinger and Emma (Schwind) Meidinger. He was baptized Dec 4th, 1938 at Sotteshaus der New Kassel Church and confirmed there as well. He married Phyllis A. Boschee on Nov. 18th 1961, at the Baptist Church in Wishek, N.D. Edgar was a member of the Faith Community Church in Wishek, N.D. and served on the church council for many years. Edgar worked on the family farm until his marriage. He worked 35 plus years running a dairy and grain farm, until he retired in 2005. Edgar and Phyllis lived with his parents for one year, before renting the Jacob Brandner farm. In 1967, they purchased the Margetus Schwind farm and continued to live there to the present. Edgar loved to fish, hunt, play cards and pool, roll dice, dance, tell jokes, and share stories. He was a Twins and Vikings fan and attended several games. He had a great sense of humor and many friends. He will be missed by his wife, Phyllis, his daughter, Geraldine (Herbert) McQueen, his sons, Darryl (Cheri) Meidinger, Rick (Amy) Meidinger, and Travis (Bridgit) Meidinger, his grandchildren, Erica McQueen (Kelly Satrom), Alexandra Meidinger, Ashtyn Meidinger, and great grandchildren, Kiah and Sage McQueen, his sisters, Luella Foederer, Alma Rath, Alvina (Herman) Sayler, and Arlene (Melvin) Kaseman, his brothers Wilbert Meidinger, and Ellon (Rachel) Meidinger (his twin) his sister-in-law, Delores Meidinger, and brother-in-law, Adam Kaseman . He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wilmer (Wilma) Meidinger, Marvin Meidinger, sisters, Gertrude (Art) Kaseman, Viola (Alvin) Raile, Lorraine Kaseman, sister-in-law, Landina Meidinger, brother-in-laws, Edward Foederer, Alvin Rath.
