Eileen (Guthmiller) Reiner, 82, August 7, 1921 - June 18, 2004 Funeral services for Eileen Reiner were held Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Friedens Reformed United Church of Christ, Tripp, with the Rev. Greg Way officiating. Music was furnished by John and Beth Hughes, and Shelly Finck, organist. Interment was made in the church cemetery with Goglin-Kelley Memorial Chapel, Tripp, in charge of arrangements. Honorary casketbearers were her granddaughters Jennifer Reiner Fosness, Brooke Reiner, Lauren Reiner, and Ava Reiner. Casketbearers were her grandsons Marc Reiner, Matthew Reiner, Christopher Reiner, John Reiner, Ryan Reiner, James Reiner, Jared Reiner, Steven Reiner, and Elliot Reiner. Eileen Reiner was born on August 7, 1921, in rural Tripp to Chris and Della (Hamberger) Guthmiller. She attended rural school and graduated from Tripp High School. She was united in marriage to Alvin Reiner on March 1, 1942, in Friedens Reformed Church in Tripp by Rev. Odenbach. They farmed northeast of Tripp on the Reiner homestead their entire married lives. She was a member of the Friedens UCC Church, taught Sunday School for many years, and was in the Women's Guild for over 50 years. She was also active in various community organizations including the Legion Auxiliary, the Good Samaritan Auxiliary and had been a 4-H leader. She died on Friday, June 18, at Avera St. Benedict Health Center in Parkston at the age of 82 years. She is survived by her husband, Alvin, Tripp; daughter, Sandra Reiner, Tripp; three sons, Leon (Pat) Reiner, Tripp, Maurice (Connie) Reiner, Mitchell, and Michael (Annie) Reiner, Tripp; daughter-in-law, Joanne Reiner, Tripp; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Maynard (Esther) Guthmiller, Tripp; and sister, Marilyn (Elroy) Miller, Sheboygan, Wis.
