Connie A. McLendon, age 63 of Zanesville passed away Sunday October 20, 2013 at her residence following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 5, 1950 in Zanesville and was the daughter of Lawrence Kuhn and the late Ruth (Crock) Kuhn.
Connie graduated from Rosecrans High School and Ohio University. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and retired as assistant manager of the Zanesville Social Security office with 36 years of service. She was a member of the Zanesville Country Club, Beaux Arts Club, and the Chicago Regional Management Association. Connie enjoyed traveling and playing golf.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband James C. McLendon, whom she married October 12, 2002 in Pebble Beach; her sons: James P. (Jenny) Hardcastle II, Jason (Kristen) Hardcastle and Justin Hardcastle; step-children: Deborah (Ken) Magyar, Jim (Cassie) McLendon, Jeff McLendon, and Jeremy M. McLendon; grandchildren: Maximus Hardcastle, Hiram Hardcastle, Michael Magyar, Allison Magyar, Kaitlyn Magyar, Matthew McLendon, Jack McLendon, Henry McLendon, and Frankie McLendon; a brother, Keith (Katie) Kuhn who rode for 5 years in the Pelatonia to raise money for the James Cancer Hospital; and a sister, Jane (Bud) Sanders; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a very special aunt, Roma Paige and special cousin, Rhonda Cantelli.
Private family services will be held.
