Pauline "Polly" Ottenbacher, 87, of Billings passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2002, at Parkview Care Center.
Polly was born on June 16, 1914, to John Adam and Katherina (Heiser) Kuebler, on the family farm near Burnstad, N.D. She married Arthur Ottenbacher on Nov. 5, 1939, and moved to his family farm near Herreid, S.D. The family moved to Kalispell in 1947, where she lived until 1971 when she moved to Billings. Her husband passed away on May 17, 1956.
She is survived by two children, Janet (Delton) Ludwig of Billings, and Stan (Merrilee) Ottenbacher of Phoenix; her granddaughter, Megan (Rob) Webb, and great-grandson, Clayton, of Anchorage, Alaska. She is also survived by Merrilee's daughters, Joelle (Brent) McCasland and Jani (Mike) Pankoff and their daughters, Kensington and Mia, all of Phoenix. She is also survived by three sisters, Billie Miller and Esther (Vernon) Eiger of Bismark, N.D., and Bertha (Ted) Schock of Wishek, N.D.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and nine brothers and sisters.
Cremation has take place. Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalispell at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, with interment at Glacier Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran School, care of Trinity Lutheran Church, 537 Grand Ave., Billings, MT, 59101. Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary is in charge.
