  [S927] Obituary. Nicodemus J. Bender Nov 11, 2008 0 Nicodemus J. Bender, 81, of Billings, formerly of Laurel, died Nov. 6, 2008, at the VA Medical Center in Denver. Nick was born April 17, 1927, in St. Anthony, N.D., to Nicodemus and Matilda (Geiss) Bender. He is survived by one sister, Othilia "Ot" Smith of Phoenix; and his longtime companion, Esther Haas of Billings; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mary Knoll, Joe Bender, Adam Bender and Della DeBord. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Mountview Cemetery.
