Mr. Stephen Clement Burkhart, 55, of Killen, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at his residence.
He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, employed for 23 years at International Paper and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, in St. Michael's Cemetery, with the Rev. Edward Markley, O.S.B., officiating.
Mr. Burkhart was preceded in death by his father, Ambrose Burkhart; brother, Tim Burkhart; and a granddaughter, Madeline Jane Burkhart.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Wilcheck Burkhart; mother, Amyrillis Burkhart, of Laramie, Wyo.; sons, Joseph C. Burkhart, of Tuscumbia, Thomas M. Burkhart, of Florence; daughters, Sarah Jane Hendershot, of Killen, Elizabeth Mary Vincent, of Pensacola, Fla.; brothers, John Burkhart, of Lincoln, Neb., Mike Burkhart, of Santa Fe, N.M., Tony Burkhart, of Gering, Neb.; sister, Roseanne Chapp, of Laramie, Wyo.; grandchildren, Taylor Burkhart, of Tuscumbia, Tanner Burkhart, of Tuscumbia, and Frank Hendershot, of Killen.
