Margaret Katherine Rund Vogel Birth: Apr. 15, 1932 Okarche Kingfisher County Oklahoma, USA Death: Dec. 3, 2004 Casper Natrona County Wyoming, USA CASPER -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret "Marge" Katherine Vogel, 72, will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 6, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Fr. August Koeune as celebrant. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Rosary Rites will be held at 7 p.m., today, at Bustard's Funeral Home. She died Dec. 3, 2004, at Central Wyoming Hospice Home, following a courageous battle with a long-term illness. Born April 15, 1932, in Okarche, Okla., she was one of 14 children born to Valentine and Marie Rund. In 1952, she moved to Casper, where she met her future husband. On July 24, 1954, she married the love of her life, Hubert Vogel. Operating a home day-care for over 35 years, she nurtured generations of Casper children. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and will be remembered for her devotion to family. She will also be remembered for the baked goods she shared, for her compassion for others and her fondness of roses. Throughout her life, she demonstrated a love for children. She also had an appreciation for her pretties. Survivors include her husband of 50 years; her daughters, Gina Kevin of Chicago, Dawn Speakman of Casper, and Jackie Martinez and her husband, also of Casper; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 12 siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor can be made to Central Wyoming Hospice Program, 319 S. Wilson, Casper, WY 82601, with any such acknowledgement appreciated by her family. Arrangements are under the direction of Bustard's Funeral Directors and Crematory.
