DUNLAP - Beverly J. Hermie, age 78, of Sterling, mother of a Dunlap woman, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Beverly was born on Jan. 30, 1932, in Prophetstown, the daughter of Clarence and Lilly (Ericson) Zschiesche. She married Noah Hermie on Oct. 14, 1950, in Prophetstown. She and her husband farmed in the Tampico area for over 40 years, and she was a homemaker.
Beverly was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Sterling.
Survivors include her husband, Noah of Sterling; two daughters, Cynthia (David) Everhart of Dunlap and Carol (Tom) Wold of Tampico; two sons, Steven Hermie of Huntley and Stanley (Rita) Hermie of Mesquite, Nev.; one brother, Gordon (Lonna) Zschiesche of Lyndon; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Zschiesche; and one son, Joseph Hermie.
Celebration of the Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at St. Marys Catholic Church in Tampico with the Reverend David Finn of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sterling officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Tampico. Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling.
A memorial has been established.
