Jean Schepper, 82, Killdeer, died Thursday, February 19, 2004 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Monday, February 23, 2004, at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, Killdeer, with Fr. Jerry Ruelle, O.S.B., celebrating. Interment will be in Killdeer Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2004 at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson. Visitation will continue Sunday at the church beginning at 6 p.m. with a vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at the church one hour prior to the service. Jean Thomas was born November 22, 1921, in Dunn County, North Dakota to Joseph and Anna (Immel) Thomas. She was raised in the Fayette community and attended Thomas school. She married Dan Schepper on June 16, 1941, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fayette. They farmed until 1944, when they moved to a farm near Regan, ND. They then moved southeast of Bismarck for one year. They lived in Bismarck and Silver City, ND prior to moving to East Gary, Indiana. She worked for Sunbeam Lighting Company in Glen Park, Indiana for 15 years. They retired in 1978, and moved to Killdeer. Jean was a member of NYA. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, macramé, crossword puzzles, painting and reading, making crafts, playing guitar and singing. Jean is survived by: her husband, Dan, Killdeer; daughter, Karen (Marv) Ottoson, Palm Harbor, Fla.; son, Gary (Debra) Schepper, Celina, TX; five grandchildren, Mike, Erik, Ingrid, T.J. and Marlo; one great-granddaughter, Holly; sister, Philomena (Elsworth) Hovden, Killdeer; brother, Joseph (LaVonne) Thomas, Rosalia, Wash. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her son, Terry Schepper; parents; four brothers, Frank, Ralph and John Thomas and Joseph in infancy and two sisters, Rose Schmidt and Stella Hartman.
