  [S927] Obituary. Norman "Dale "Fiock passed away unexpectedly at his home in San Diego, Calif., on July 30, 2013. He was 28 years old. Dale was born on June 15, 1985, to Janie and Norman Fiock Jr. He was a graduate of Yreka High School, class of 2004. The following August, Dale was sworn in to the United States Army. Dale served his country proudly and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His squad was based at Camp Taji, Iraq. He returned to Fort Hood until he received an honorable discharge on Dec. 14, 2007. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, the Army Good Conduct Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge. Dale went to the academy for the border patrol on Dec. 18, 2008, and was stationed in San Diego while still being on inactive duty with the Army. He was a federal agent with the border patrol at the time of his death. Dale was an accomplished musician playing the fiddle, mandolin and guitar and, while on leave, he loved to travel. Dale is survived by his mother, Janie Wolf of Yreka; his stepfather, Robert Wolf of Yreka; his maternal grandparents Phil and Earline Summers of Crescent City; his younger brother, Tyler Wolf of Yreka; his sister, Michelle Gee, and brother-in-law, Danny Gee; his older brother, Mitchell Henson, and sister-in-law, Shannon Henson, all of Medford, Ore.; his uncle, Dale Summers, of Montague; his wife, Nashla Fiock, and daughter, Delaney, of Calexico; nephews Drayson, Keegan and Carson; and niece Merissa, all of Medford, Ore.; and cousins, John, Nick and Kelsey, of Montague. Dale was preceded in death by his father Norman Fiock Jr. and his paternal grandparents Maymie and Norman Fiock Sr., all of Yreka. A memorial service for Dale will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, at Girdner Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Camp Hope, PTSD Foundation of America, P.O.
