William E. Deitering
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland, for William E. Deitering, 54, of here. He died at 11:45 p.m. at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born May 26, 1937, in Ottoville, the son of Leo and Rosa (Murray) Deitering Sr. On Bebruary 7, 1959, he married Janice Mueller, who survives.
Mr. Deitering had been an employed since 1957 at Philips Display Components in Ottawa. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Ottawa Knights of Columbus, Ottoville Catholic Knights of Ohio and local 1654 of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors include two sons, William Deitering, Jr., of Leispsic, and Douglas Deitering, of Glandorf; four daughters, Mrs. Don (Monica) Barnhart, of Kalida, Mrs. Dick (Marilyn) Dobmeyer, Miller City, Donna Deitering, Bellevue, and Mrs. Rob (Jennifer) Gusinger, Botkins; nine grandchildren; six brothers, Herman Deitering, Troy, Elmer Deitering, Piqua, John Deitering, Sidney, Thomas Deitering, Leipsic, Dan Deitering, Maumee, and Leo Deitering, Jr., Baltimore, MD; and one sister, Mrs. Gerald (Mary Lee) Laudick, Upper Sandusky.
Revs. Gary Miller and Don Mueller will officiate services. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and all day Wednesday at McCrate-Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8:30.
