Clara was born July 30, 1923, on the family farm in Morton County, to George and Elizabeth (Barth) Yantzer. She was raised in the Crown Butte, area and received an eighth grade education, but with further instruction, received her GED in 1956.
As a teenager she held housekeeping positions for a couple families in Mandan. Clara met the love of her life, Nick Mosbrucker, at a dance in Judson, and were married on Nov. 23, 1943, at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Crown Butte.
