Elizabeth Anne "Betty" Creedican passed away Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, in Klamath Falls. She was 85.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Ward's Klamath Funeral Home, 1945 Main St. A mass of Christian burial will be offered 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 815 High St., with Rev. Rogatian Urassa celebrant and Rev. Theodore Nnabugo, Rev. Charles V. Dreisbach and Rev. Austin J. Cribbin con-celebrating. A luncheon reception will follow in the parish hall. Betty will be buried next to her husband, Maurice, at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma, Wash.
Betty was born July 26, 1924, in Flasher, Morton County, N.D., to Frank and Anna (Yantzer) Gustin. On Nov. 8, 1947, she was married to Maurice M. Creedican in Tacoma, Wash. Maurice preceded her in death in 1985. They moved from Tacoma to Klamath Falls in 1952.
She was a housekeeper, organist for the Sacred Heart choir and a telephone operator. She retired in 1999.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Sacred Heart Altar Society, Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Sacred Heart Mother's Club.
She enjoyed reading, playing pinochle and cooking. She was a devout Catholic woman and a devoted wife and mother who worked tirelessly to help others. She especially enjoyed cooking for others. Betty left us with a strong gift of faith in Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Stiltner, of Klamath Falls; her son, Patrick Creedican, and his wife, Carolyn, and her daughter, Kathleen Skidmore and her husband, Eric of all of Bend, Ore.; grandchildren, Daniel and Jennifer Creedican of Tampa, Fla., Matthew Creedican, Andrew and Justin Skidmore and Sarah Creedican of Bend and Capt. Denise Stiltner, U.S. Air Force of Anchorage, Alaska; great-grandchildren, Grant and Aubrey Creedican of Tampa; brothers and sisters, Cordella Wingenbach of Beulah, N.D., Tony and Dorothy Gustin of Billings, Mont., Clara Braun of Raleigh, N.D., Roger and Vernis Gustin of Fulda, Minn., Herm and Cecelia Gustin of Broomfield, Colo., Johanna Ternes of Portland, Ore., and a sister-in-law Anisia Beggers of Billings.
In addition to her husband, Maurice, and her parents, Frank and Anna Gustin, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy and Daniel Gustin.
