Lois Fickel 1923-2011 | Posted Dec 7, 2011 NEWARK — A memorial service for Lois M. Fickel, age 88, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 67 North Fifth Street, Newark, with the Rev. William J. Rauch officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Lois passed away on Dec. 3, 2011. She was born October 26, 1923, in Attica, to the late Rev. Amos and Anna (Lipp) Heyde. She was a graduate of Logan High School. She is survived by a daughter, S. Kay (Raymond) Frahn of Granville; son, Robert L. (Nancy) Fickel of Lancaster; five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marvelene Heyde of Butler, Pa.; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Fickel, on March 1, 2002; and by two brothers, Rev. Luther Heyde and Paul Heyde; sister, Esther Benner; and step-sister, Kathryn Ruff.
