He died on 18 May 1906 in Monroe Co., OH. He married Mary Ann Burkhart on 4 Feb 1879. At the time of the 1880 census, 24 year old farmer Peter Weisend lived in Seneca Twp., Monroe County, Ohio with his wife Mary (20) and daughter Hanna F. (6 months). The lived next to the family of John Kuhn, who might have been Mary's uncle. (This has not been proven.) In 1900, Peter Weisend (40) owned a farm in Seneca Twp. with his wife of 21 years, Mary A. (40). All eight of their surviving children lived with them: Philomena (20), Celia (19), Catherine (14), Nicholas (10), Barbara (8), Anthony (6), George (3), and Frank (1). Catherine, Nicholas and Barbara attended school for seven months during the previous year. Adjacent farms in the census belonged to Mary Ricker and Joseph Burkhart
