Christopher was buried 24 May 1988 in Oakland Cemetery. Viewing was at the Borden-Vincent Funeral Home in Sheffield, PA, where a funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev Tim Maybray officiating. Bearers for the burial were: Leon Edmiston, Danny Edmiston, Gregory Edmiston, Jody Edmiston, Leroy Rau and Edward Cyphert (Chris' Godfather).
The two summers after his father's death (Gary), Christopher stayed with me for several weeks. Helen Swartzentruber, owner of Helens' Superette told me, after Chris died, he'd go down to the store just before she closed and stayed with her. Chris made sure she got home alright, walking with her. After his death, Helen would light candles for Chris when she was in her trailor or in the store. One night, Helen said Chris came to her in her dreams and told her that he was alright and not to worry.
