Leona Smith Kemmer

Leona C. Kemmer, 67, of Summerville RD 2, died Monday morning in Allegheny General Hospital at Pittsburgh.
Born May 18, 1924 in Limestone township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Junie Henry Smith.
On September 1, 1945, she married Lawrence M. Kemmer. He ppeceded her in death on December 22, 1984.
Mrs. Kemmer was a homemaker.
Sshe was a member of St. Nicholas Church at Crates and the Rosary Altar Society of the church.
Mrs. Kemmer was well kknown in the Kingsville area for baking and decorationg cakes.
Surviving are six sons, Larry E. Kemmer, Richard D. Kemmer and Francis A. Kemmer, all of Mayport RD 1,; Thomas R. Kemmer and Ronald L. Kemmer, both of Summerville RD 2 and Joseph G. Kemmer of Fairmount City RD 1; and three daughters, Mrs. John (Lucille) Smith of Mayport RD 1, Mrs. Harry (Cheryl) Smathers of New Bethlehem RD 3 and Mrs. Jay (Annette) Woelkers of Newport, RI.
Also surving are 29 grandchildren; two brothers, Woodrow Smith and Arthur Lee Smith, both of Corsica RD 1; and five sisters, Helen Jones of Charlotte, Mich., Ruth Fitzsimmons of Ccorsice, Jean Raybuck of New Bethlehem RD 3, LaRue O'Neil of Knox and Janet O'Neil of Knox RD.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rayburn Smith and an infant sister.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 today and 2-4 and 7-9, Thursday in the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home at Clarion.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Friday in St. Nicholas church at Crates. Rev. Thomas L. Tyler, pastor will be the celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Nicholas Church Cemetery
