Lawrence Morrison Kemmer

Lawrence M. Kemmer, 65, of RD2 Summerville, died Saturday morning, Dec. 22, 1984, in his home.
Born Jan 30, 1919, in Daguscahonda, Elk County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elsie Disque Kemmer. He was married Sept. 1, 1945, to the former Leona C. Smith, who survives.
Mr. Kemmer was empoyed as a supervisor in Limestone Township for 12 years. He also owned and drove a school bus for the Clarion-Limestone School District for 13 years.
He was also a lifetime farmer.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Church at Crates.
He was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion Post at Strattanville.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by six sons, Larry E., of RD1 Maypost; Thomas R. of RD2 Summerville; Richard D, of RD2 Summerville, Francis A., of RD1 Mayport, Ronald L. of RD2 Summerville; and Joseph G., with the US Army in Amberg, Germany; three daughters, Mrs. John (Lucille) Smith of RD1, Mayport; Mrs. Harry (Cheryl) Smathers of RD3 New Bethlehem and Anette Kemmer, with the US Army at Ft. Stewart, GA.; 27 grandchildren and 5 sisters, Mrs. Helen Smith of Strattavillle, Mrs. Otto (Margaret) Lynch of Warren, Mrs. Foster (Dorothy) Edmiston of Tiona; Hazel Kemmer of Summerville and Mrs. Edward (Louise) Cyphert of RD2 Summerville.
Two brothers, Forest and Paul Kemmer; and two sisters, Garnet and Edna, preceded him in death.
Services were at 11 a.m., Monday in St. Nicholas Church with the Rev. J. Thomas Dugan officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Rex Cyphert, Edward Kemmer, Richard Caldwell, Edward Caldwell, Eugene Smith and Gary Kiehl.
