She was born in Daguscahonda, Pa, Jan. 24, 1917, the daughter of the late Thomas and Elsie Disque Kemmer. She was married on Jan. 28, 1936, in Frewsburg, NY, to Foster Edmiston, who died in 1984. She was a member of the Tiona United Methodist Church, where she was church treasurer, secertary of the Golden Rules, on the board of trustees and a member of the church choir. She had lived in Tiona for 52 years, moving there from Clarendon. She is survived by five sons, Emory Edmiston of Lance Corners, PA ; Edwin Edmiston and Danny Edmiston, both of Tiona, PA; Leon Edmiston of Sheffield, PA; and Gregory Edmiston of Erie, PA; one daughter, Mrs. David (Lynda) McHenry of Strattanville, PA; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Smith of Strattanville, PA; Hazel Kemmer and Mrs. Edward (Louise) Cyphert, both of Summerville, PA.; 20 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Edmiston; one grandson, Christopher Edmiston; three brothers, Lawrence, Forest, and Paul Kemmer; and three sisters Margaret Lynch, Edna Baxter, and Garnet Kemmer. Friends may call at the Borden-Vincent Funeral Home in Sheffield, Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Tiona United Methodist Church, Monday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Randy Sweet officiating, assisted by the Rev. Howard Markel and Rev. Tim Maybray. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Warren, PA.
