Gail Mead

Gail E. Mead, 79, a resident at the Rouse Warren County Home and formerly of Clarendon, died September 24, 1995, at the Rouse Home following a four year illness.
He was born March 21, 1916, in Warren, a son of the late Paul and Leona Mae McGee Mead. He was a machinest millwright and a foreman for United Refining Co. for 34 years and retired in 1979. He was a member of Stoneham United Methodist Church, where he was treasurer for several years. He was also a member of the North Star Lodge 241, Zem Zem Shrine, and Coudersport Consistory.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on January 23, 1995, by his wife, Myra A. Mead, whom he married on November 9, 1940, in Warren; and by a brother, Blain Mead and his stepmother, Clara Mead.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Leona)Harrington II, Scottsdale AZ and Mrs. David (Susan) Cobb, Greensburg, PA; and a son David G. Mead, Fairview, PA; a brother Geary Mead, Russell; a sister, Mrs. Jim (Henrietta) Martin, Vernon, NY; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral arraingments were handled by the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home. Interment was in the Warren V=County Memeoiral Park.
