John David Haggerty, Sr Birth: Apr. 21, 1889 Sigel Jefferson County Pennsylvania, USA Death: Oct. 23, 1973 Warren Warren County Pennsylvania, USA JOHN DAVID HAGGERTY, SR.,85, RD 1, Clarendon, died Tuesday evening, October 23, 1973, at the Warren General Hospital. He had been in failing health for two years. He was born in Sigel, PA, April 21, 1889, son of the late Judy and Mary Tribey Haggerty. He had resided in this area for the past 54 years. He was employed at Tiona Refining Company 17 years, retiring when the company was disolved. Following his retirement he worked for Robert Nesmith Contractor. He was a membet of the Stoneham United Methodist Church, and honorary member of the official board of the church and a 25 year member of the Warren Grange. He is survived by two sons, Dale Haggerty of Richmond, VA, and John Haggerty, Jr., Warren; two daughters, Mrs. Gail E.(Myra) Mead, RD 1, Clarendon and Mrs. Edmund, (Grace) Campbell of Warren; five sisters, Mrs. Charles Giffod, Clarion, Mrs. Merle Simpson, Sharon; Mrs. George Truby, Sigel; Mrs. Perry Neel, Bradford and Mrs. David Asp, Kane; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a number of nieces ands nephews. He was preceded ind death by his wife, Mary, on June 18, 1957 and by three brothers and one sister. Friends may call at he Templeton Funeral Home, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Services will be held there Friday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. R. G. Lilley, pastor of the Stoneham United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Warren County Memorial Park.
