Cannon, Audrey Linsicombe
Audrey Linsicombe Cannon went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 30, 2007. She was our beloved wife, mother, granny, teacher and friend. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on May 3, 1921. She moved to Houston, Texas and graduated from Reagan High school in 1939. She met her only love, Otis Dial Cannon, and they married on August 5, 1939. She was a dedicated and loving teacher who taught pre-kindergarten at Second Baptist School for 32 years. Audrey and her husband O.D. have been members of the Good Shepherd Bible Study class at Second Baptist Church for 19 years. She leaves behind many friends. Audrey is preceded in death by her father Lindsy Linsicombe, mother Mattie Mendenhall Linsicombe, brothers Grady and Lindsy and sister Juanita Veen. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Otis Dial Cannon; her sister Wanda Catanzaro; her daughter Sylvia and husband Walter Ronald Wooten; her daughter Donna and husband Floron C. Faries Jr.; her son Stephen Dial Cannon and wife Linda; and daughter Cathy and husband William H. Lassiter. She had 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Waltrip Funeral Home, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston. Funeral Service is Friday, May 4, 2007 at Second Baptist Church in the Sanctuary at 1:00p.m. Burial will be immediately following at Resthaven Cemetery,13102 North Fwy.
