Frieda Kirschenmann
June 2, 1920 - February 7, 2015
Frieda Kirschenmann, 94, Jamestown, ND died Saturday February 7, 2015 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.
Frieda Wittmier was born June 2, 1920 on the family farm West of Streeter, ND, the daughter of William Wittmier and Elizabeth (Harter) Wittmier. She received her elementary education in the local rural school and grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she helped on the family farm.
She married the love of her life Emil Kirschenmann August 16, 1940 in Napoleon ND; they made their home 11 miles southeast of Streeter, ND, where they farmed until their retirement in 1979, when they moved to Jamestown ND. She worked at Jamestown Hospital part-time and met many ladies she enjoyed having coffee with for many years. Emil passed away on October 11, 2012.
She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Jamestown.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Eugene (Claudette) Kirschenmann, Libby, MT; Steve (Paulette) Kirschenmann, Napoleon, ND; 2 daughters, Evangeline Duenow, Savage, MN; Linda (Steve) Alley, Fargo, ND; 7 grandchildren, Tammy Duenow; Jeff Kirschenmann; Scott Kirschenmann; Lisa Koehmstedt; Dustin Kirschenmann; Kylee Kirschenmann; Kristina Kirschenmann, and 12 great grandchildren, Brandon Solberg; Deegan Kirschenmann; Baynx Kirschenmann; Christopher Bailey; Nicolette Koehmstedt; Sarah Kirschenmann; Adam Kirschenmann; Hunter Koehmstedt; Hayden Koehmstedt; Samuel Kirschenmann; Joe Kirschenmann, Rekker Kirschenmann and 1 great great grandson, Deacan, one brother, Clifford (Delores) Wittmier, Hardin, MT.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 granddaughter, Tabitha; daughter-in-law, Judy Kirschenmann; 1 son-in-law, Larry Duenow, 4 brothers Eugene, Arthur, Ervin and Jacob, one sister Rachel and one sister in infancy,
Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday February 13, 2015 in the Good Shepherds Chapel in Ave Maria Village at Jamestown, ND with Deacon Tom Geffre officiating.
Interment will be made in the Zion Reformed Cemetery West of Streeter, ND
Visitation 9-5 Thursday at the Funeral home in Jamestown.
