  [S927] Obituary. Obituary Steve R. McTighe, 72, passed away peacefully in Coeur d'Alene on February 28, 2019. He was born in 1946 in Lawton, Oklahoma to John R. and Velda E. (Stoebner) McTighe. He joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Yorktown aircraft carrier until his honorable discharge from active duty in 1970. He graduated from Spokane Community College with degrees in Machine Technology and Air Transportation Technology. He held a private pilot's license and was a certified scuba diver. Steve had a passion for learning new things and enjoyed a challenge. He had an adventurous spirit and a wide variety of interests including hunting, fishing, hiking, woodworking, and causing mischief. He is survived by his brother, Jeff McTighe; son, Michael Singer; daughters, Merritt Weese and Kelli Burrill; and five grandchildren.
