Nathalie Lotz Nathalie (Sallee) Lotz, age 76, a longtime resident of San Jose, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 23, 2009 after a long illness. She is survived by two sons, James Coleman of Scotts Valley and Stephen Coleman of Orangevale, her sister Lou Ella Haynes of Folsom and her longtime partner, Jack Bitter of Orangevale. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jamie and Ryan Coleman of Roseville, Gabriel and Jason Burrell of Orangevale as well as six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Robert V. and Ina Lotz, her son Donald Coleman, and her brother Robert W. Lotz. She loved her Tahoe cabin overlooking the lake, her books, her computer, and traveling extensively throughout the world. She enjoyed camping, hiking and skiing with her boys. She was also active in The Sierra Club. She graduated from San Jose State University, and later received her Master's Degree in English Literature. She taught English at San Jose City College. She joined the Administrative Staff for the City of San Jose, where she remained for twenty years. In 2002 she established another home in Orangevale with Jack Bitter.
