BERRETH - Passed away on Friday, February 19, 1988, Mr. John Berreth, aged 76
years of Medicine Hat. He leaves to cherish his memory 1 son Vern Berreth of
Saskatoon, 3 daughters Rosemary Kuiper of Medicine Hat, Bernice (Jerry)
Pottinger and Beatrice (Marvin) Brown all of Winnipeg, 7 Grandchildren, 3
brothers William (Stella) Berreth of Maple Creek, Sask., Alex Benjamin (Mary)
Berreth of Piapot, and Dan (Violet) Berreth of Medicine Hat, 6 sisters Rebecca
Jahraus of Maple Creek, Helen (William) Morden of Kamloops, B.C., Martha
Underwood of Neepawa, Manitoba, Lydia Neitz of Medicine Hat , Hilda Michaleski
of Lloydminister, Susie Wilson of Coronation, as well as numerous nieces and
nephews. John was predeceased by 2 sons Clarence and Lyle, 1 daughter Sheila,
and by 5 brothers Ted, Reuben, Albert, Henry, and Edwin. He was born on April
26, 1911 in Minot, North Dakota and was raised and educated in Maple Creek. He
had farmed there most of his life until he retired into Medicine Hat. The
funeral service will be held in the Pattison Chapel "downtown" on Wednesday,
February 24, 1988 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bert Ramsey officiating. Interment
will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations
may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stoke Foundation. Arrangements are by THE
