Harvey Boyster
Pana
Harvey Boyster, 66, of Pana died Sunday, September 8, 2002 at 2:58 p.m. at Pana Community Hospital.
Funeral services are Wednesday, September 11 at 11 a.m. at the McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana with Pastor Philip Neumann of Grace Baptist Church in Taylorville officiating. Burial with graveside military rites by Pana Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4431 in Mound Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Pana Community Hospital Foundation for Hospice.
Mr. Boyster was born February 15, 1936 in Potosi, Missouri, the son of Lytle and Julia Williams Boyster. He was retired from self -employment as a carpenter. He came to Pana from Sparta 31 years ago.
He loved to fish and hunt and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Pana Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4431 and the Pana Sportsman Club.
He married Carolyn J. Koontz on August 2, 1957 in Pana and she died on January 2, 1996.
He is survived by his children; Deborah Bearup and husband Donald and Melinda Hendricks and husband Michael, all of Pana. Also, grandchildren Chad Bearup and wife Kelly, Sarah Bearup, Jodi Bearup, Matthew, Mitchell and Mason Hendricks; and great-grandchildren Kyra, Austin, Savannah and Kyleigh. Also his companion, Julia Lebon of Pana.
He is also survived by his brothers, Jack Boyster of Paducah, KY; Frank Boyster of Fredricktown, MO; Herbie Boyster of Sparta, IL; and Allan Boyster of Oreana IL; and sisters, Wilma Presswood of Huston, IL; and Bessie Rickert of Waldorf, MD.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers Daniel and Walter Boyster and sisters Dorothy Kempfer and Felma Mulholland.
