Robert Bob Keith Thomas, 63, of Stillwater, passed away the afternoon of May 25th, surrounded by his family. His funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A celebration of Bobs life will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 29th at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Bob Thomas was born on November 20, 1946 in Stillwater, OK. He grew up and attended school in Stillwater. After graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his brave service, Bob was employed by the Best Yet Retail Store, National Standard, but most of his career was spent with the Stillwater Central Railroad, from which he retired. Bob married Linda Simpson on October 14, 2000. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church for many years. He coached little league, softball, and was an avid sports fanatic! When he was not coaching or watching sports, Bob could be found at the lake fishing with his friends or family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren more than anything else.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home. Two sons: Brian Thomas and wife Ginger, of Perry, OK, and Mike Kirkwood of Stillwater, OK. Two daughters: Leesa Silver of Dallas, TX, and Kathy Robison and husband Bret, of Stillwater, OK. One brother, John Thomas and wife Karen, of Sugarland, TX. One aunt, Lenora Moore of Claremore, OK. Six Grandchildren: Shawn Newell of Orange, TX, Brady Thomas of Elkhart, TX, Luke and Jake Thomas of Perry, OK, Tom and Shane Robison of Stillwater, OK Bob was preceded in death by his parents.
