Lloyd married Karen Garvey on July 10, 1955 in Las Vegas. To this union, four children were born: Terry of Sioux Falls, SD, Kim (Rob) Heikes of Hartington, NE, Larry (Janni) of Yankton and Gary (Ginger) of Yankton. Lloyd was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Jessica, Christopher, Kelsey, Josh, Evan, Brittney, Tyler, Trevor, Kaitlin and Gage. He also had six great-grandchildren: Grady, Haleigh, Kolby, Mason, Ayla and Riley.
Lloyd and Karen raised their family on a farm by Menno, SD. He farmed through the years before they moved to Yankton in 1996.
Lloyd will be remembered most for his love and devotion to family, friends and faith. He was always willing to help others and be there to love and hug his grandchildren. Lloyd was a member of First United Methodist Church of Yankton. He enjoyed going to Sunday service and going out to lunch. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and watching baseball. He was a big Dodger fan.
Lloyd is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; loving sister, Delores and husband, Ray Lowe of Denver, CO; sister-in-law, Franny Ness of California; many nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, his parents, his in-laws, Dan Garvey and Agnes and Glen Johnson and an infant sister, Pearl.
Our lives are all richer because of his never-ending love.
