Peterson, Faye A.
of Phoenix, AZ formerly of Kearney, NE age 88 died Friday, June 12, 2009 in Phoenix. Memorial Services will be Friday, June 26, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at Paradise Valley Retirement Center ? 11645 N. 25th Place ? Phoenix. AZ. Memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church and School or to the Kearney Library, care of the family. A message of condolence, tribute, or memory can be left at www.hlhmortuary.com. Horner-Lieske-Horner Mortuary of Kearney is in charge of arrangements. Faye was born on February 27, 1921 in Deshler, NE to Theodore and Barbara (Neuhart) Reinboth. She graduated from MacKenzie High School in Detroit, MI with the class of 1939. Faye then attended Kearney State Teachers College in Kearney, NE and received her teachers certificate. She married Herman C. Peterson on June 15, 1941. He passed away in 1985. Upon graduating from college, Faye taught at Center School east of Kearney. She became a teacher's aide at Kenwood Elementary later in life after her children had grown. Faye moved to Phoenix, AZ six years ago to be closer to family. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Kearney and the Concordia Society. Faye was a very active member of the church and was always willing to volunteer her time. She was also a member of the Hospital Auxillary. Faye was an avid bowler and greatly enjoyed reading, board games and card games. She loved to garden and had many flower gardens. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Faye also volunteered for many years at the Good Samaritan Hospital gift shop. Sons and Daughters in Law-------Tim and Jeanette Peterson, of Sullivan, MO. -------Dan and Peggy Peterson of Fountain Hills, AZ. -------Terry
and Hollye Peterson, of Omaha, NE. 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren. Faye was preceded in death by her husband Herman in 1985.
