BIOGRAPHY: Reuben was the son of Herman and Anna Elting Neuhart. He was a Retired Farmer and leaves behind his wife Mathilda Neuhart.

Reuben Carl William Neuhart, the son of Herman and Anna (Elting) Neuhart, was born on a farm near Carleton, Nebraska, on November 25, 1917. He passed away on January 24, 2010, at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler, Nebraska, at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 29 days.
He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, Friedensau on November 29, 1917, by Pastor H. Schabacker and confirmed at the same church on May 8, 1932, by Pastor Theo. Droegemueller. His confirmation verse was Hebrews 10:23. Reuben attended Trinity Lutheran School through the eighth grade. He then helped on the family farm. He served his country from 1942 ? 1945 during World War II, with the 3711 Quarter Master Truck Company. He was united in marriage to Mathilda Fischer at Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler, Nebraska, on June 27, 1946, by Pastor F. H. Schwerin. Two children were born to this union, Paul and Linda Lou. Reuben farmed most of his life on the home place where he grew up north of Deshler, until retiring in 1985. Then they moved into Deshler. Reuben continued to help Paul with the farming for as long as he was able. He was a lifetime member of the Thayer County V.F.W. Goldstar Post #5328 of Hebron and the Halfman American Legion Post #352 of Deshler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Anna Neuhart; daughter, Linda Lou was stillborn; grandson, Matthew Neuhart; brother, Norbert Neuhart and wife Lucille; half sister, Lorna Fangmeyer; half brother, Paul Gerberding; brothers-in-law, Clarence Eitzmann, Herman Fischer and Lewis Seamans; and sisters-in-law, Lorene Seamans, Dorothy de la Motte and husband, Charles, and Inez Gerberding. He is survived by his wife, Mathilda of Deshler, NE; son, Paul Neuhart of Deshler, NE; granddaughter, Susan Neuhart of Dodge City, KS; sister, Olga Eitzmann of Lincoln, NE; half brother, Harold Gerberding and wife Lucille of Deshler, NE; brother-in-law, Robert Fischer and wife, Julie of Cedar Falls, IA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
