PANA - Eleanora M. Dudzik, 89, of Pana died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur.
She was born Oct. 10, 1917, in Pana, the daughter of Otto and Marie Arnold Koontz. She married Paul L. Dudzik in 1937; he died in 1972.
Mrs. Dudzik worked for the defense plant in Illiopolis and at Wadley's and Mallory's, both in Pana.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, St. John's United Church of Christ Women's Guild, VFW Auxiliary and Pana Senior Citizens.
Survivors: daughter, Frances (husband, Paul) Allen of Oconee; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Koontz of Pana.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana, the Rev. Marilyn Rauch officiating. Burial: Mound Cemetery, Pana.

Eleanora M. Dudzik, 89, of Pana, died Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in St. Mary?s Hospital, Decatur.
She was born October 10, 1917 in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of Otto and Marie Arnold Koontz.
Eleanora lived her entire life in Pana, and was a 1936 graduate of Pana High School.She had worked for the Defense Plant in Illiopolis, as well as Wadley?s and Mallory?s in Pana. She was also a member of the St. John?s United Church of Christ, St. John?s United Church of Christ Women?s Guild, VFW Auxiliary, and Pana Senior Citizens.
Eleanora married Paul L. Dudzik on April 24, 1937.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances Allen and husband Wayne, Oconee, IL; 6 Grandchildren: Frances Donaldson; Kathy Coffey and husband Leon; Nancy Rudow and husband Bill; Paul Allen and wife Sonia; Beth Ann Johanson and husband Tim; and Becky Jo Michael and husband Mark; 11 Great Grandchildren; and Brother, Robert Koontz, Pana, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on December 20, 1972; brother, Ralph Koontz; and sister, Theresa McGrath.
Funeral Information
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 30, 2006 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Marilyn Rauch officiating.Visitation will be held Sunday, October 29, 2006 from 3-5 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana.
