Glendon Apple, age 86 of Danville died Monday, March 7, 2005 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville. He was born in Cedar Creek, AR on February 5, 1919 to Timely A. and Liota Haney Apple.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Herman, Clarence and Grady Apple; five sisters, Icie Iva Sadler, Lois Robertson, May Haire, Thelma McBride and Anna Pearl Steinfeld.
He was a retired farmer, a WW II Army Veteran, receiving two Purple Hearts, a member of the Danville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lucille Nihart Apple; sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Becky Apple of Grannis, Lonnie and Belinda Apple, Tommy and Judy Apple all of Danville; sister-in-law, Dorothy Apple of Danville; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today, Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Danville Church of Christ. Burial will be in Earl Ladd Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pledger Ball, Jim Woodall, Dale Knight, David Laster, Kenny Jackson and Mike Mitchell. Honorary Pallbearers are Time Apple, Joe Apple, Bobby Joe James, Odean Parker, Roy Burrows, Doyle Barrick, Kenneth Price, Joe Monroe and Bruce Stewart.
