  [S927] Obituary. Byron Nicolaus Serr passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2001 at his home in Jacksonville, FL. He was a long time resident of Florida and was predeceased by his daughter, Charlotte Serr Williams in 2000. Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Bonnie E. Serr,; two daughters, Carol Serr Connell and Shirley Serr Post; seven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Byron was the retired owner of eight Kentucky Fried Chicken stores in Duval County, the past president of the Jacksonville Restaurant Association, a 32 Degree Mason and life member of the Shriners. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2002 , 2:00 PM at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL with Dr. Wayne Williams officiating. The family invites friends to visit from 1 until 2 PM, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the following would be appreciated.
