Ann M. Boehm, 91, died Dec. 30, 2003, in Bismarck. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Church of Corpus Christi, 1919 N. Second St., with the Rev. Luke Steiner officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before services at the church.
Anna Grenz Boehm was born May 15, 1912, in Napoleon, N.D., the daughter of Margaret (Oberlander) Grenz and Christian C. Grenz. She graduated from Mandan High School in 1932 and married Frank H. Boehm, Aug. 26, 1935. Together they raised their family in Mott, where Frank owned and managed the Our Own Hardware Store for 45 years.
Ann was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America Mott Chapter, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Monday Study Club, St. Vincent's Alter Society, St. Vincent's Church and the Church of Corpus Christi and St. Catherine's Church, Valley City.
Ann's great satisfaction in life was "the way my children turned out -- I'm proud of each one!" Ann lived a full life. She loved reading, music and painting. She translated text into Braille for the blind, made over 200 quilts, and loved baking. She had the "pleasure of being home with my children." Ann's life was an example of positive attitude, love, faith and gratefulness.
Ann is survived by six daughters, one son and spouses, Kathleen Schlosser, Casper, Wyo., LaVonn (Dick) Steiner, Bismarck, Don (Kathy) Boehm, Bismarck, Pat (Cliff) Zent, Rapid City, S.D., MaDonna (Dennis) Stanford, Valley City, Cyndy (Tom) Gaj, San Antonio, Texas, and Lori (Court) Shereck, Sioux Falls, S.D.; 27 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and Ann's only sister, Freda Brubaker, Waterville, Ohio.
Preceding Ann in death were her parents; her husband, Frank, who died Oct. 4, 1987; her brother, Ernest and his wife, Margaret; and her brother-in-law, Al Brubaker.
