Clara Zander Price

Clara Zander Price went to be with our Lord on March 7, 2011. On February 18, 1924 Clara was born in Glendive, Montana to Joseph and Eugenia (Barth) Zander on February 18, 1924. She was the granddaughter and daughter of Ukrainian immigrants to the United States, with her father being born in the U.S. within months of her grandparents relocation to North Dakota from the Russian Empire.
On March 23, 1946, she married Harry Price, a U.S. veteran of World War II and the Korean War. As a Registered Nurse in Searcy, Arkansas; she cared for the sick and injured for over 40 years. Not only did she make significant personal sacrifices through hard work to ensure that her children were educated and went to college, she additionally survived a serious illness and brain surgery after which she had to relearn basic communication so that she could resume her nursing career and care for her family.
Her hard work was rewarded as she enjoyed her retirement with new friends at Parkstone Place Retirement Center in North Little Rock. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Peter Zander. She is survived by another brother Leo Zander, her sons Butch Price of Lillian, Alabama, Mike Price of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Joe Price of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her daughter Beth Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas. Additionally, she is survived by her 3 granddaughters (Linzi, Brooke and Jodi) and her 3 grandsons (Hunter, Russell and Zak) and 1 great grandson, Leif.
